Aiken & Friends Fest Workshops
Songwriting, Guitar, Indie Music Promotion

Fee: $10 (One class included in a weekend pass.)
The Fest is all about music education and we dedicate a portion of the festival to offering workshops given by music professionals. Workshops are open to all ages.  Attendees are encouraged to come with questions. So don't hesitate - sign up and join us!
 

SONGWRITINGMike Aiken & Sally Jaye
As a songwriter Mike puts pen to paper and shares his colorful life. As an artist who comes by his stories honestly, he has definitely taken his place among well-respected songwriters and musicians in the Americana and Country communities. Sally has licensed music for network television shows and written tracks for film recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra. Both have enjoyed a wide range of success as professional songwriters and are happy to share their craft and insights. Bring your questions about songwriting and/or the business behind it.

INDIE MUSIC PROMOTIONAmy Aiken, Northwind Records
Learn how to create buzz in the current biz. In 15 years of her Indie label, Amy has seen and weathered industry changes. She has campaigned songs to the US and European Top 30 charts and shepherded Mike Aiken’s Captains & Cowboys to a first-round Grammy nomination. In the Indie world she believes there are tools that every artist should have in place to build a successful career in the music industry. From album production to websites to tour management to pitfalls in the business, Amy has something to share. Bring your questions!

GUITARBrian Ashley Jones
In addition to performing and recording sessions, Brian Ashley Jones is a guitar clinician for Alvarez/Yairi Guitars and Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) and offers educational clinics for music schools, conferences, and songwriter organizations!
