The Other Mozart
Samantha Hoefer
Tues., Oct. 24 at 1 & 7PM

The true, forgotten story of Nannerl Mozart, the sister of Amadeus - a prodigy, keyboard virtuoso and composer, who performed throughout Europe with her brother, to equal acclaim, but whose work and story faded away, lost to history. This performance transports the audience into a world of outsized beauty and delight, but also of overwhelming restrictions and prejudice. There, in communion with the audience, this other Mozart at last tells her story.

The Elephant in Every Room I Enter
Gardiner Comfort
Tues., Nov. 28 at 1 & 7PM

This intimate solo piece is about living with Tourette's Syndrome, a neurological disorder characterized by uncontrollable physical and vocal tics (sudden movements and sounds). Using an erratic and energetic performance style, and evocative details of his week attending the Tourette Syndrome Association National Conference, Gardiner Comfort shares his life as an actor with this neurological disorder and discovers, for the first time in his life, how he can be himself.
video Call Mr. Robeson
Tayo Aluko
Tues., Feb. 27 at 1 & 7PM

Paul Robeson is a world-famous actor, singer and civil rights campaigner. When he gets too radical and outspoken for the establishment's liking, he is branded a traitor to his country, is harassed, and denied opportunities to perform or travel. One of the 20th Century’s most impressive but overlooked figures is revived in this powerful, compelling tour-de-force performance that takes audiences on a roller-coaster journey through Robeson’s remarkable, eventful life.
article Everything Is Fine Until It’s Not
Doreen Oliver
Tues., Mar. 13 at 1 & 7PM

A funny, heartfelt one-woman show about a workaholic film producer whose life goes off-script. Just when Oliver feels like she’s got this parenting thing down, her hair catches fire, her mother tells her she’s doing everything wrong, and her son is diagnosed with autism. Guided by an irrepressible crew of old-school matriarchs, she does everything possible to “fix” her son — and starts to unravel when she realizes she can’t. A funny yet honest look at how we try to change the people that matter most to us, and how we cope when we realize we can’t.
video unFRAMED
Iyaba Ibo Mandingo
Tues., Apr. 10 at 1 & 7PM

UnFRAMED is the emotional, powerful, and uplifting self-portrait of Iyaba Ibo Mandingo—poet, painter, playwright, husband, father. After reveling in an idyllic childhood in Antigua, Iyaba is rudely awakened when, as an eleven year-old, his family moves to the United States—where he believes the streets are paved with gold. Instead, what he meets is a world of betrayal and racism. Yet, through poetry, storytelling, song and the portrait he paints as he tells his tale, Iyaba shares his joy in the journey of finding his voice for change.
