A variety of shadow puppet crankies based on songs and tales. The crankies are intricate papercut scrolling artwork, through which shadow puppets appear. Katherine Fahey is an artist and puppeteer. Her meditative cut paper and prints have become music posters, shadow puppets, portraits, set design and animation, including lush music videos for musicians such as Wye Oak and ellen cherry. Katherine has performed nationally at festivals, puppet slams, the Baltimore, Seattle, and Sandglass crankie festivals, Artscape, schools, libraries, and universities.
