In our first multi-book presentation, actors will portray portions of each novel verbatim by a solo actor with a discussion with the audience at the conclusion. Novels include: As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner revolves around a grim yet darkly humorous pilgrimage; Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston is about a proud, independent black woman’s quest for identity, a journey that takes her back to her roots; To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee tells of Scout and Jem’s childhood and how a series of events shook their innocence and taught them about human nature.
