Mermaid Theatre’s latest production is drawn from Leo Lionni’s exquisitely crafted Caldecott Honor books, Swimmy, Inch by Inch and Frederick. Swimmy is a tiny fish who uses ingenuity to fend off danger; Frederick, a poetic mouse, makes everyday life an artful experience; and in Inch by Inch, a lovable inchworm shares his facility for measuring absolutely everything. All these stories are wonderfully translated into puppet theatre and the gentle storytelling style which has earned international acclaim for Mermaid Theatre. The show features an assortment of innovative puppetry styles and imaginative lighting techniques as well as an original musical score.

Theatreworks' production of Charlotte's Web is based on E.B. White's loving story of the friendship between a pig and a little gray spider. Wilbur has a problem: how to avoid winding up as pork chops! Charlotte, a fine writer and true friend, hits on a plan to fool Farmer Zuckerman—she will create a "miracle." Spinning the words "Some Pig" in her web, Charlotte weaves a solution which not only makes Wilbur a prize pig, but ensures his place on the farm forever. This treasured tale, featuring endearing farm animals, explores bravery, selflessness, and the meaning of friendship.

Supporting the American cause would mean losing valuable business from his British customers and risking the safety of his family. Revere must make a choice between doing what is easy and doing what is right. This new musical reveals history through a combination of music, drama and humor.

Théâtre de l'Oeil, has been making puppet theatre for children for thirty years. Using a variety of puppet styles, this show without words tells the story of Pretzel, a brave and lovable character who notices one evening that a star has been dislodged from the sky. Pretzel puts the fallen star in his basket and sets out to return it to its proper place.

Though the word "magic" tends to be over-used, (one) can't think of a better way to describe this marionette and rod-puppet performance, which will remind you what it's like to be two. THE ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION

Harriet Tubman was born a slave, but when she was 25 she made her perilous escape from a Maryland plantation, leaving her family behind. The escape route that Harriet followed soon became known as the Underground Railroad, and she quickly became one of its most celebrated conductors. On 19 secret trips Harriet Tubman guided more than 300 slaves, including her aged parents, to freedom. Freedom Train using dance, dialogue, and music of the period, tells the story of self-sacrifice, dedication and survival, laced with warmth and a sense of humor that celebrates the human spirit—a universal story for all.
